CAS(E) this Sketch # 94

When I saw this week's challenge sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch I thought of all the stripy papers I have lurking in my craft cupboard and that's the idea I decided to go with.

Here's the sketch

and here's my card

The sentiment is from 'Everyday Words Happy Birthday' by Personal impressions and I've added a few embellishments (hopefully not too many for CAS).

Freshly Made Sketches # 155

Another great sketch for this week's challenge over on the Freshly Made Sketches blog.

Here is the sketch

and here is my card.

The patterned paper is from the docrafts '12 Days of Christmas' pack.
The snowflake dies are from Papercrafts Ltd, the tag die was a magazine freebie from last year and I also used a die from the Die-namics Blueprints 13 set.
The sentiment is from the Pink Petticoat 'Nordic Joy' set.

Less is More - Week 190

The theme for this week's challenge is FACE THE MUSIC AND DANCE, cards with any reference to music or dancing in some form.

For this challenge I decided on an inchie card, something I haven't made for a while.

The squares were punched out of paper from a Papermania set 'Bookprint' and the greeting was from a Stampendous stamp stamp set 'Wildflower Sprigs'.

To take a look at the lovely cards entered for this challenge visit the Less is More blog.

One - Layer Simplicity Challenge # 9 : Hip to be Square

Having enjoyed making a one - layer card for the 'Less is More' challenge I fancied having another go at a one - layer challenge. As a result I decided to join in with this months's challenge at the 'One - Layer Simplicity Challenge' blog. This month the challenge is to make a one - layer card incorporating a square in some way.

Here is the card I came up with

I masked a square and inked it using ink dusters and distress inks in wild honey, rusty hinge and barn door. The snowflake stamp I believe is a Papermania stamp and the greeting is a stamp I've had in my collection for years. Finally I finished off with a little gem.

Freshly Made Sketches # 154

Thought I would have a go at this week's challenge over on the 'Freshly Made Sketches' blog.

Here is the sketch

and here is the card I came up with

For the snowflake I used the freebie die that came with October's 'Quick Cards Made Easy' magazine and the for the greeting I used a stamp that was part of a magazine freebie set which I've had ages. (Is there are challenge which asks you to use freebies?!) The papers I believe we're part of a Papermania set.

I really like this sketch and can see me using it a few times.

For more inspiration of how to use the sketch visit the Freshly Made Sketches blog.

Less is More Challenge 189

The Less is More challenge this week is a one layer card with a beverage theme.
Here is the card I came up with.

The image and greeting are from a DigiStamp Boutique set 'Coffee Break' (not sure if it's still available) and the border was a freebie download from Delicious Scraps.
It's the first time I've combined digi images and then printed directly onto the card, so I was quite pleased with myself for doing this.
The heart is punched from black card and I've coloured the image with Spectrum Noir pencils
I couldn't resist adding a few little embellishments.
There are lots of lovely cards for this challenge at the Less is More blog, why not take a look.

Less is More Challenge 188

I really enjoyed taking part in last week's 'Less is More' challenge, so I thought I would have a try at this week's challenge.
It's a colour challenge this week, the colours being chocolate and mint.
Here is the card I came up with

The image is a Hobbycraft own brand stamp and the greeting is from the Inky Doodles 'Floral Circles' set.

Less is More Challenge 187

The theme of this week's challenge on the Less is More blog is 'I do like to be beside the seaside'.

Here is the card I came up with

The image is a stamp from a Papermania set I bought ages ago, but haven't used until now. I coloured the image with Promarkers. The wording is computer generated using Splendid66 font.

It's the first time I have had a go at a 'Less is More challenge' so I hope it's ok.
